ATV Riding
Our part of northern Wisconsin has numerous ATV trail for you to enjoy. The Hayward area alone has nearly 100 miles of ATV trail for winter use, and Sawyer County has literally hundreds of miles of ATV trails.
Hayward is know for it's excellent fishing. Enjoy fishing for muskie, walleye, and northern pike in our many well-known lakes. We're walking distance from Hayward Lake and minutes from Chippewa Flowage and Lac Courte Oreilles.
Sawyer County, Wisconsin is a mecca for snowmobilers. Here, you'll have over 600 miles of perfectly groomed trails and access to nearby Chequamegon National Forest.
The Slumberland American Birkebeiner is North America's largest cross-country ski marathon. Typically, held in February, it starts in Cable, Wisconsin and ends in Hayward's Main Street.
The Musky Festival is a family-oriented weekend event that's usually held near the end of June. The festival has many events, including a Grand Parade the runs through historic downtown Hayward.
